Cleator Moor!

One of the advantages of being webmaster is that when I come across our members 'out of the parish' it is  easy to tell tales.

On Monday the 20th October, the Priory of Lancashire, yes that is Knights Templar, descended upon the small Cumbrian town of Cleator Moor.

The Masonic Hall, is locally know as the Civic Hall. This is due to the fact that when the local authority put the hall on the Market, because they could not make it pay, the local Masons who had older premises close by, bought it on the understanding that the community could have use of it during the times the the Masons didn't need it and what a successful venture it has turned out to be.

he visits the East and then he tried the Masters Chair for size
Now for the 'Tale', amongst the KT Team are two well known members of the Mark Team, Peter Connolly is the Provincial 1st Constable (SW) and Bob Norris is the Provincial 2nd Constable (JW). On the Mark Team, you will recall they are known as Provincial Grand Master and Provincial Senior Overseer. They were joined by The Provincial Prior, RE Kt. David Gallear a further eighteen members of the Team and eight members of the Priors Body Guard.

Following a superb ceremony of Installation, in the Temple and Malta Degrees, and a meal befitting the occasion, the Team Headed back through the hills on their way home south, with wonderful memories of the warm welcome that had been given to them by the Knights of Edmund Grindal Preceptory No.313.
